Bubble Poems

This week we have been looking at different types of poetry and have even tried to write some of our own.

On Tuesday we went outside and blew bubbles with a buddy. We had lot's of different bubbles to experiment with and some of them even had a special fruit smell!

As a class we then brainstormed all the words that reminded us of the bubbles. Next we had to draft our poems using a diamante poem template. Finally we got to publish our bubble poems and turn them into kites. We think they look pretty cool!

Here are some photos showing what we got up to...

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful break!

Self Portraits

As part of visual arts we have been learning about drawing, tracing and colouring.

We made some fabulous self portraits!

First we had to draw ourselves, then we mixed paint to create our skin tones and paint our faces and shoulders. Last we created different backgrounds using stripy patterns or geometric shapes.

We think we look pretty cool! Please feel free to pop in and have a look for yourselves.

Thanks for checking in!

Friday Maths!

On Fridays we do maths activities that require us to use problem solving and critical thinking skills to find answers.
Today we did a pirate themed maths hunt around the classroom. We were split into groups of 4 and given 9 maths questions that we had to work together to solve.

We had heaps of fun using different maths equipment to help us!

Here are some photos of what we got up to...
