Today some super sport coaches from Counties Manukau came to PCS and ran different sports activities for the year ones and year twos. These included rugby, soccer, playball, taekwondo and more. We had so much fun trying different sports and giving it our best. We were yelling encouraging things to our team mates like "good try" "keep going" and "great job"

First Day in Room 3

Yesterday we had a really exciting day in room 3. We went on a tour around the school, so that we all know where the important places are. 

We got to know each other and played with lots of different activities in our classroom. We also learnt about the Kea bird because the year 1 team in the Kea team. Check out our awesome Kea masks that we made.

Water Safety

Today Mrs Singh was teaching us about being safe in the water. We were so lucky, she borrowed some life jackets from room 2 and we got to try them on. We learnt about what a life jacket does and what we should do if we end up in the water wearing one. Thanks Mrs Singh!

Our Zoo Trip!

On Friday room 3 went on a trip to the Zoo!! We were so excited about the bus ride and then being able to see all the awesome animals. We got to see 2 real Kiwis! We saw 4 Kea birds. They were so much bigger than we had imagined. Then we got to walk around the zoo and see all the other animals. A big thanks to all of our wonderful parent helpers!

The Art Room

This week room 3 has has 3 blocks in the art room. We used paint and masking tape to make the first letter of our name. Then we drew a tree and painted it brown. We then used toilet rolls that had been cut up to print some colourful leaves on the tree. We had lots of fun using different colours and being creative with paint.
