Welcome to Room 3's blog.  I am Mrs Howe and I will be teaching Year 1 children later on in 2014.

I am currently working with Year 3 children helping them in their learning journey.

Libby meets Tamati

Libby Stevens was very excited to meet her favourite TV personality at Hunter's Plaza Mall recently! She and her sister and mum grabbed the opportunity to click some pictures with him! Lucky Libby!!

Trip to Auckland City

At last! we had waited forever for this day!! It dawned dull & rainy! All togged up in our rain gear, we walked to Papatoetoe Station. Wow! it was the first train ride for some of us! We loved it! At Britomart station we had morning tea, then walked across to the ferry station. Another first time for some of us! The ride across to Devonport ended too soon! We waited for the rain to stop; then made our way to the park! This was a highlight for many of us! We played in the park with our friends and even got to have a little play on the shore.  We came back to school on the bus! What a day! Despite the rain all of us had a wonderful day and a unique experience!

Making Ice Cream

For Technology Room 3 students experimented with combining different fruits to come up with a variety of ice-cream flavours. We used banana, strawberry, mango, honey & coconut cream, making different combinations. Yum! What a flavoursome experience!

Term 4 Value

This term we are learning about RESPONSIBILITY! We have to be responsible  for out belongings in school - for example, we need to take care of our sunhats. We can also be responsible at home - for example, we can make sure that we put our book bag in our schoolbag everyday and bring our readers back to school. Another way to be responsible at home is to tidy our rooms and lend a helping hand around our home.
ALWAYS BE A RESPONSIBLE KIWI!
