Book Week - Character Dress Up Day!

This week it has been book week. We have had puppet shows, guess who is behind the book, a book swap and today we had book character day. Lots of children...and teachers dressed up as their favourite book characters. It was so much fun!! We did a parade with all of the Kea team, where we got to see each others costumes as well as showing off our own. Zoey even won a prize for her costume. Check out the photos below.

Room 3's little garden

We were given our own little garden set. Every child got to plant their own seeds and now we need to take good care of them and wait for them to grow.

Music with Mrs Chignell

Every Friday afternoon the Kea team swap classes to do a different subject with one of the year 1 teachers. The different subjects include art, music, drama, ipads, dance, sport and te reo. We LOVE going to different teachers and learning new things.

Wet Lunch Play!

Yesterday it was very wet outside...but we made the most of it and fun playing inside. Manraj, Jayden and Brenden made an awesome farm using all of our play animals. Great job boys!

Kids Can Wacky Hair and Silly Shoes Day!!!

Today we could come to school with wacky hair and silly shoes. We brought a gold coin donation to go towards kids can. Lots of children in Room 3 came to school looking very wacky!!

Play dough!

Today we made some play dough and we then wrote about it. It was lots of fun and we turned it green. Here are some photos of us mixing it all together.

The Life Education Caravan!

Today we got to go and visit the Life Education caravan! It is parked in our carpark and it is super cool inside! It has disco lights that change colour and stars on the roof. We got to meet Harold the Giraffe who showed us a video about how to be a good friend. We can't wait until our next session!!
